Description: The Brandeis Association in conjunction with the Queens County Women's Bar Association and Cuny School of Law, are proud to host a CPLR Update, given by Burton Lipshie of Stroock, Stroock and Lavin, ON JUNE 6, 2012, at CUNY School of Law. Light Supper at 5:30 pm, followed by lecture at 6:00 pm. Participants will receive 3 CLE credits (2.5 Professional Practice and .5 Ethics). $15.00 for all members of BRANDEIS, QCWBA or alumni of CUNY. 50.00 for all others. If you become a member of Brandeis on or before June 6, 2012, you are eligible to pay the reduced rate. Pay On-line by choosing either "member" or "non-member." ALL Memberships will be verified. CLE: CPLR UPDATE WITH BURTON LIPSHIE
Under Continuing Legal Education Regulations, CLE credit will be offered only to those attorneys completing entire sessions; attorneys attending only part of a session are not eligible for partial credit for a session. Attorneys arriving late are welcome to attend the program but will not be eligible for CLE credit. Attorneys wishing to receive CLE credit must sign in the program's attendence register prior to and following the CLE program; once a speaker begins the program, the sign-in sheet be removed. Similarly, attorneys leaving the session early are also ineligible for CLE credit. While in NYS 50 minutes of CLE training provides 1 hour of credit, all CLEs sponsored by CUNY School of Law run a full 60 minutes, not including introductory remarks or breaks, but including questions and answer periods.
